Dhammada Collective is an interdisciplinary community and sustainable design collective based in Bhopal, Indore, and Delhi, India. They are a research-driven architecture and design studio focusing on ecological, social, and experimental projects. They are hiring Architects and Research Interns to work across design, documentation, and research initiatives.

We’re excited to offer an internship opportunity that involves a diverse range of tasks and experiences.

Position: Intern

Location: Bhopal or Indore

Duration: Minimum commitment of 4 months

Responsibilities:

1. Architectural Work: We are a small studio, and you’ll be actively involved in various aspects of the architectural process, including working on drawings, developing 3D models, and calculating estimates for our projects.

2. Community Engagement: Build meaningful relationships with the communities we work with. Understand their needs and collaborate with them to create sustainable solutions.

3. On-Site Experience: Enjoy the unique opportunity to visit project sites, most of which are located in rural villages. You’ll track the progress of the construction and gain hands-on experience.

4. Research and Documentation: Conduct research to identify and document local skills and crafts in the areas we operate. This knowledge will be used cohesively and ethically in our homestays.

5. Problem Solving: Learn to handle and resolve minor issues that may arise during construction, helping you develop practical problem-solving skills.
